The new camera is characterized, above all, by its strength. It is protected from the dust and can be immersed in water at a depth of up to 10 meters. The device housing provides protection from vibration and dropout.

The Sony RX0 II is equipped with a 15.3 megapixel 1-inch CMOS sensor. The images are processed by the Sony BIONZ X graphics processor. The Zeiss Tessar T lens has wide-angle optics, and the display can be rotated 180 degrees.

The new digital camera can shoot at up to 16 frames per second and record 4K video at 30 frames per second.

The slow-motion mode is supported, and the video is captured at 1000 frames per second. Sensitivity can vary from 80 to 12800 ISO units.

With the Imaging Edge application, it is possible to wirelessly control five Sony RX0 II cameras simultaneously.

The company said this summer will feature an update that will allow the management of 50 cameras simultaneously via one Wi-Fi hotspot and up to 100 simultaneously through a separate management system.

Sales of the Sony RX0 II action camera start in April this year for $ 700.
